The General Company for Iron and Steel Products, Hama- Syria, is deemed one of the major leading steel manufacturing companies on the local and regional standards. It produces all kinds of iron and steel products. Since its foundation in 1974, the company has undergone through many developmental phases, the latest of which was the modernization and up-gradation of the Steel Melting Plant by the Indian company Apollo International limited, and made it possible to enter the field of modern industrial techniques and automation and contributed to a great extent to improve the productivity and increase the revenues of the company, furthermore, it made the iron and steel products a locally-produced commodity available in the national markets.
Our company has an integrated set of mills which work together to produce all kinds of Iron and Steel products.
It started production in 1978, then was revamped in 2011. It melts scrap iron to produce square billets of size 120× 120 mm.
It started production in 1971 with an annual production capacity /72250 /t/y. It produces steel rebars and rods of diameters 10~ 25 mm.
